Financial Services

Working with GRIDSCALE since early 2006, this Fortune 500 Wall Street Investment Bank customer is focused on providing its internal and institutional customers with a scalable data fabric so that transactional data can be rapidly and reliably replicated and consumed in a commodity grid environment.

Healthcare

As a transactional services provider for pharmacies and government medical insurance, this customer services tens of thousands of pharmacies and processes millions of claims per month. Application outages cannot be tolerated in their business, neither for their online nor offline systems.

Insurance

One of the largest insurance and financial services companies with over one hundred billion dollars in assets and thousands of employees has been using GRIDSCALE since fall 2006. The primary drivers are to have high availability without investing in a lot of typically idle hardware poised for use only in failover situations. The customer is using a packaged CSC software application.

Media

With over fifty newspaper properties and a multi-million subscriber base, reliability is paramount. Each newspaper maintains a web site focused on local content. The sites are hosted by this customer and hence interruption cannot be tolerated, especially during demand spikes caused by breaking news items. In addition to availability GRIDSCALE was purchased to enable horizontal scalability using a grid of Linux-based servers.

Retail

This customer selected GRIDSCALE for their main retail website which demands "four-9s" availability since a service level agreement (SLA) has been imposed. GRIDSCALE helps to eliminate database downtime and allows the customer to scale by utilizing existing hardware assets that were previously architected as active/passive for failover only. With GRIDSCALE these assets will become active/active for improved performance and capacity.

Security

A home security provider by definition must deliver round the clock service to retain its clients. GRIDSCALE has been deployed to eliminate unplanned outages and allow database maintenance and upgrades to take place without bringing any applications down.
