Mark Stirling, Chairman of the Board, President, Treadstone Associates

Mark Stirling is the President of Treadstone Associates Inc.. Treadstone assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, financing and strategic planning. Mark is a seasoned senior manager and dealmaker in the technology industry with a proven track record in leading and managing start-ups, arranging financing and engineering mergers, acquisitions and turnarounds.

He has held numerous executive and technical positions in both Canada and the US, including Chief Corporate Officer & CFO of ISOPIA Inc., COO/CFO of GSA Consulting Inc., President of Obvious Systems Inc., Vice President of ABTS Global LP and Founding President of International Data Corporation (IDC) Canada Inc.

Mark has worked on numerous strategic consulting assignments and has managed successful systems implementations. Additionally, he has led projects, ranging from market to technical research, for some of the world's largest companies and public sector organizations. He is a frequent public speaker both domestically and abroad on technology business issues.

Mark holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario and an honours BSc (Physics) from the University of Toronto.

David Patrick, President & Chief Executive Officer

With over 25 years of senior executive experience in the software industry, David joined xkoto in November, 2007 as its Boston-based President and CEO.

Prior to xkoto, David was Vice President & General Manager at Novell, where he managed the Linux, Open Source and Platform Services Group. In this position, he was responsible for the $450 million division that included Novell's SUSE Linux and Netware operating systems, collaboration products and a number of emerging open source technologies. David joined Novell in 2003, as part of the acquisition of Ximian, a leading Linux and open source software company, where he was President and CEO. Before Ximian, David served as President of worldwide sales and operations for The Learning Company, an $800 million consumer software company responsible for the company's retail, international, direct mail, OEM, and school business units. After the Learning Company was acquired by Mattel in 1999, David served as President of worldwide sales and operations of Mattel Interactive. David joined The Learning Company through the acquisition of WordStar where he was COO. Other experience includes leading roles at the Tops networking division of Sun Microsystems, Migent International, Ashton-Tate and Lotus.

David received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Berklee School of Music and serves on Berklee's Presidential Advisory Council.

Albert Lee, Chief Strategy Officer & Co-Founder

A 20-year veteran in software, Albert has designed and implemented critical multi-million dollar systems across a broad range of industries including energy, financial services, and enterprise management. In 1997, Albert joined Halcyon Monitoring Solutions, where, in his ultimate role as CEO, he transformed the firm from a small software services organization to a competitive profit-driven product company. Starting first as data Architect and team lead, he subsequently moved into a number of executive roles including VP of Business Development, head of sales & marketing, and COO. Albert contributed to the company's success by leading its growth from five customers to over two hundred blue-chip accounts worldwide including Citigroup, American Express, Deutsche Telekom, the City of New York, Fujitsu, and J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. While still managing Halcyon in 2004, Albert co-founded xkoto, building relationships between academia and industry to leverage breaking research and bring it to market. As xkoto's inaugural President and CEO, Albert raised two rounds of venture capital from blue-chip firms, totaling $10 million.

Albert holds a degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a M.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Toronto.

Khalil E. Barsoum

Khalil Barsoum is a forty year veteran of the IT Industry with extensive global experience. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Odyssey Financial Technologies, Coventree Capital Group, xkoto Inc. and Coradiant. He spent 35 years at IBM, where he held senior management positions including CFO of IBM Canada and the IBM Consulting Group, Chairman and CEO of IBM Canada Limited, Chairman and CEO of IBM UK Holdings, and General Manager of IBM's Communications Sector.

He previously was Board Director and member of the Investment Committee at CDP Capital Technologies, one of Canada's largest Venture Capital organizations. Additionally, he served as Board Director and Co-Chair of SMTC of Markham Ontario.

Khalil was also an Advisory Board member at Air2Web and Diversinet.

Khalil is a graduate of École Polytechnique of Montreal, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Montreal in June 2005.

Roger Chabra, Investment Manager, GrowthWorks Capital

Roger Chabra has fifteen years of venture capital, entrepreneurial and technology experience. He is currently an Investment Manager at GrowthWorks Capital. Roger is involved in all aspects of deal management - from sourcing and screening to structuring, monitoring and exiting. He currently serves on the board of a number of growing companies including xkoto Inc., Paymentus Corp., and Anyware Group.

Prior to joining GrowthWorks, Roger was part of the investment teams at Hargan Ventures and Bell Mobility. He has also held operational roles with Rogers Wireless. Prior to his experience with Canada's two largest mobile carriers, he was the co-founder and CEO of Mobilessence, one of Canada's earliest startups focused on entertainment and personalization content for mobile phones. Roger began his technology career with Sapphire Technologies Canada (formerly CNC Global), Canada's largest IT recruitment services firm.

Roger holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a BA from the University of Western Ontario.

Tim Wright, Venture Partner, GrandBanks Capital

Tim Wright is a Venture Partner who has over twenty years of experience in various technology industries and brings a wealth of operational and technology experience.

Prior to joining GrandBanks Capital, Tim held several key operating roles and was named CEO of Geac Computer Corporation Ltd., a global enterprise software company. Geac was later acquired by private equity firm, Golden Gate Capital for $1 billion.

Previously, Tim was Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer at Terra Lycos S.A., where he was responsible for managing the technology organization across all business lines. Prior to joining Terra Lycos, Tim worked for The Learning Company (TLC) in a variety of roles including Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

Tim received his Bachelors of Science degree from City University in London and is a frequent speaker at various industry events.
