David Patrick, President & Chief Executive Officer

David PatrickWith over 25 years of senior executive experience in the software industry, David joined xkoto in November, 2007 as its Boston-based President and CEO.

Prior to xkoto, David was Vice President & General Manager at Novell, where he managed the Linux, Open Source and Platform Services Group. In this position, he was responsible for the $450 million division that included Novell's SUSE Linux and Netware operating systems, collaboration products and a number of emerging open source technologies. David joined Novell in 2003, as part of the acquisition of Ximian, a leading Linux and open source software company, where he was President and CEO. Before Ximian, David served as President of worldwide sales and operations for The Learning Company, an $800 million consumer software company responsible for the company's retail, international, direct mail, OEM, and school business units. After the Learning Company was acquired by Mattel in 1999, David served as President of worldwide sales and operations of Mattel Interactive. David joined The Learning Company through the acquisition of WordStar where he was COO. Other experience includes leading roles at the Tops networking division of Sun Microsystems, Migent International, Ashton-Tate and Lotus.

David received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Berklee School of Music and serves on Berklee's Presidential Advisory Council.
