InGrid, Inc. Chooses xkoto
GRIDSCALE helps Secure The Home
Berwyn, PA, January 8, 2007 - InGrid, Inc. recently selected xkoto's GRIDSCALE Database Load Balancer to help ensure that InGrid's Digital Home Protection service provides uninterrupted security for their clients.
InGrid, Inc., founded in 2003, offers the "next generation" Digital Home Protection system, built on a distributed digital wireless grid network technology that delivers a level of reliability that makes the system nearly impossible for intruders to defeat.
InGrid is expecting a significant surge in demand -- which left Drew DeNardo, InGrid's Services Program Manager, with an availability challenge: "When your business is Digital Home Protection, you have to deliver 24x7, without fail - period." Yet when building out InGrid's data center, Mr. DeNardo found that the traditional availability solutions from other database vendors like clustering and data replication had shortcomings. "We needed more than high availability, we needed continuous availability, so we turned to xkoto's GRIDSCALE and IBM's DB2 database".
With the right solutions in place for non-stop operations, InGrid has the assurance that their DB2 database will be able to quickly and reliably process all the messages generated by the security systems in the field while also allowing customers to view the status of their homes online via the web.
"The three-way partnership between InGrid, IBM, and xkoto has been a winning combination" remarked Albert Lee, CEO of xkoto. "We're delighted to be involved in delivering such an essential service that gives InGrid's customers peace of mind".
